About Us

Our brand was born on a New York winter season, when we were design students at Parsons, The New School for Design.

We've always had a fascination for the handmade, and avid knitters ourselves, we started out by creating cold-weather accessories for our close friends in the city. As our need to create increased with each stitch we took, our desire to influence a more sustainable and ethical fashion industry grew as well. We believe the fashion supply chain should be transparent and working conditions in manufacturing should be kind.

Today, we collaborate with female artisans in Mexico, our native country where we are now based. We have also expanded our product line to include unique handbags made from upcycled materials and handcrafted leather details. What started out of a mid-town New York apartment has now grown into an evolving community of makers with the power to make a positive change.

I have always been intrigued by Mexico’s unique traditions. Family trips at a younger age really marked me, as I experienced the ways in which colonial regions in our country radiate exquisite culture, and observed how merchants use old techniques in the development of their products. To me, Binge is a celebration of our culture’s essence and its richness. As time goes by, our traditions grow stronger; we solidify what was left for us.”

“My surroundings have always inspired me; vibrant colors, rich textures - these have always been a part of my life, and my passion for design and textiles stems from this visual connection. I love the idea of taking a rooted tradition, learning from it, and developing it into a revolutionary design. This to me, is what Binge represents: An experimentation of conventional techniques that challenges tradition and takes them to new places."
